The Busy Season

Written by Katelin Hamilton | Oct 29, 2020 9:00:00 AM

Fall and winter are busy seasons for everyone. With everything from your kiddo's football games to the holidays, you're lucky if you find yourself with a lot of free time. This holiday season is a little different, of course, thanks to the pandemic. But did you know that this is also the busy season for the SOLIDWORKS industry.

Between the release of SOLIDWORKS 2021 and everyone getting back up and running, we've been spending more time in Zoom meetings than we have at home! This is a great change from the thumb-twiddling months that we went through during the summer. The industry certainly doesn't have it all figured out yet, but it's so good to see some smiling faces, even if it is through a webcam.

The fall being a busy season for us is typical, so we wanted to remind everyone that if you think you'll need PDM support, upgrade help, or any other SOLIDWORKS PDM help, we are available! We've been very fortunate to be able to make new hires during the pandemic, so we're ready to rock and have a little more room on our plates than we did 6 months ago to help you lovely people.

As a reminder, we offer services like PDM support. Our support packages are structured a little bit differently and we've found it makes a lot more sense for our clients. We will schedule an initial consultation with you before anything is set in stone, determine what level of support you need, and outline specific goals and our plan to meet them. This way, you know exactly what to expect from your support hours. It never really made sense to us why some support packages are just hours, because if you know you need support, you probably aren't sure what exactly needs to be done or what it entails. We want to provide all of the tools we can to provide a positive experience, and Tim is a SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM pro, he will get you sorted out. Even if it's just a little hands-on help with an update,  we're happy to help.

Training

Now is the perfect time to invest in continued education! Staying on top of your skill set, or even learning new things, is a great way to keep yourself engaged and continue adding to your portfolio. We have an API course listed on our website, but we are also happy to put together a training packet tailored to you at no additional cost. In the last six months, we've become dedicated to being an educational hub for SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM, and everything that entails. If you're not ready to spend money on training, we also have resources like our YouTube channel, our blogs (of course), and Tim is very active in the forums! He's notorious for scheduling free meetings to give a comprehensive answer to user's questions. We also very happily take recommendations, so if you've got a specific question you'd like answered, leave a comment on our blog, on any one of our YouTube videos, or find us on Facebook or LinkedIn!

As you can tell, we have a lot of avenues open that you can communicate with us through. Make no mistake, this is intentional! Please use them, and if you need help, we're just a click (or two) away.
